Since More Than 30 Years

1980
Architect Karl Gamperli received approval from the community for the right to build the “Obere Au” parcel in Zizers. During this time, tennis was “booming”. There were already a few clubs in the region. Karl Gamperli had the courage and the vision that a tennis hall would be a good offer for the region. This despite the fact that there were doubters.

1981
The tennis hall with four courts and a squash box as well as a restaurant with a small garden terrace was built. The tennis hall developed well.

1985
Due to good demand, the kitchen could be enlarged and a dining room added. The range of sports has been expanded to include 3 squash boxes and a sauna with a solarium room.

1988
Karl Gamperli decided to add a three-star hotel with 34 double rooms and a seminar room to the existing sports and gastronomy business. At that time, today’s host, Markus Gamperli, was still working as a foreman in his father’s construction company.

1994
Markus Gamperli switched from the construction industry to the hotel industry. He took over the management of the Hotel-Sportcenter Fünf Dorf and successfully completed further training as a federal operations manager level 2 in the hospitality industry.

2004
The restaurant with dining room has been completely renovated. Sidonia Gamperli took on the role of interior designer, as you can see with the right skill and success.

2010
Markus Gamperli took over the Five Villages Sport Center hotel from the community of heirs.

2014
Markus Gamperli is celebrating his 20th anniversary. 20 years ago he took over the management of the house.
